Washington Co. Sheriff’s Summary includes Barn Fire, Scam

BLAIR – Phone scams are lurking in the area again – the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary just released this morning shows that a resident received a phone scam from someone purporting to be the Douglas County sheriff.  Washington county deputies determined it was not a call from Douglas county, but a scam.  If you receive such a call, contact the nearest law enforcement.

Also on the sheriff’s report – among the arrests this week – a driver with a suspended license, and a felony warrant arrest.  Deputies provided traffic control on Highway 75 and county road 10 after a semi carrying cattle broke down.  Those cattle were transferred to another trailer.  A structure fire reported in the early hours yesterday in the 22 thousand block of county road 30 – was a barn. The building is considered a total loss, Washington County deputies and Arlington Fire responded.
