$40K Raised for Washington County Food Pantry

Just over $40 thousand dollars will be going to the Washington County Food Pantry run by Joseph’s Coat Ministries, this after the Breakfast for the Coat fundraising breakfast this morning at Fernando’s in downtown Blair.  Organizers say the preliminary total is $40,382.Those funds will be used to provide food and personal care items to the county’s families during difficult times.  Use of the pantry has increased this past year by 300 percent – with an estimated 360 families per month now needing additional grocery and personal care items.
