Barn fire on County Road P35 Knocked down by Crews from Three Towns

BLAIR – Sirens and first responders were heard and seen early this morning responding to a fire just north of Blair in the 9 thousand block of County Road p-35.  Blair Fire Chief Joe Leonard says his crews worked quickly once they arrived on the scene, the south side of the barn was fully engulfed, nearby gas tanks were  a concern.  Firefighters  knocked down the fire by 6:30 a.m. and stayed to put out hot spots.  The fire marshal arrived to investigate and at this point, the cause of the fire is undetermined.   Kennard and Fort Calhoun fire crews provided mutual aide for the Blair Fire Department.  There were no injuries.
