Blair School Board Member to Resign

BLAIR – Blair Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Randy Gilson says he and School Board president Lyle Schjodt have received a resignation letter from board member Brad Kreifels.  Kreifels has accepted a job outside of Blair and will not be able to continue with the board of education.  Dr. Gilson says school policy regarding filling a vacancy such as this can include taking on the next highest vote getter from the same election in which Kreifels was elected, a special election called by the school board,  or utilize a formal “vacancy filling process”.  The board will discuss more on the matter in it’s meeting this coming Monday evening, 6:00 at the Administration Building, 2232 Washington Street.
