Scott Frost was introduced as the new head football coach at Nebraska one day after leading Central Florida to the American Athletic Conference championship. Athletic Director Bill Moos said he offered the former Husker the job because he was the best candidate.
Frost says he felt the time was right to return home and rebuild a program that finished 4-8 this past season.
Nebraska has not won a conference title since 1999 and Frost says as a former player he knows what it will take to lead the program back to prominence
Frost says he embraces the expectations for the program and the pressure that comes along with them.
Frost says Nebraska has everything it needs to win big.
Frost says details still need to be worked out but he plans on coaching Central Florida against Auburn in the Peach Bowl on New Years Day.
