Kitten Crop Update

BLAIR – Not only is it harvest season for corn and soybeans, but we’ve just been through a bumper crop of kittens according to Krystal Hilshire with the Friends of the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter.  About a half dozen smaller kittens are at the shelter with some in foster care, a few older kittens are available as well as adult cats.  Three dogs are currently housed, a small white female dog and two larger male dogs.    You will notice construction of a structure just south of the shelter.  Krystal says the Blair High School “Skills USA Team ” students, along with Ed Mills, is constructing a storage building, using donated materials.  A dumpster also provided by McKinnis is helpful as well.  As far as needs, Krystal says kitty litter, household cleaners, and of course, volunteers.  For details check the Friends of the Jeanette Hunt facebook page or go online to blairanimalshelter.org.
