BLAIR – Big Ox Energy, around six months ago, announced it would develop a plant in Blair with the intention of processing organic by-products to make natural gas and other biofuels. Once completed, the plant will employ 45 full time workers. What’s the status of that plant? Real Country 97 Three news talked with Big Ox Energy’s Kevin Bradley, the Director of Business Development. Kevin says the company is closing on a 33 acre site near 10th and Wilbur. Next will be obtaining permits and construction – and if all goes smoothly, he says a plant can be open in approximately 18 months. Issues with odor at the South Sioux City plant have been resolved and helped the company design safeguards against that problem. Big Ox Energy also has plants in Denmark, Wisconsin and Riceville, Iowa.
