BLAIR – A significant increase in the number of cases of West Nile virus reported in an update just released by Three Rivers Public Health Department. 11 cases as of today – only one reported last year, three the year before. Three Rivers covers Dodge, Saunders and Washington Counties. Three Rivers Public Health Director, Terra Uhing, is encouraging everyone to wear long sleeves and long pants when they go outdoors and to use mosquito repellent, and removing or treating any standing water.
