Fremont Tigers Baseball Camp

The Fremont Tiger Boys Basketball Camp is coming up next week, July 9-12 at the Johnson Crossing Academic Center.  There will be two sessions.  The first is for youth that just finished grades 3, 4, and 5.  That session will be from 11am-1pm.  Cost is $35.  The second session is for youth that just finished grades 6, 7 and 8.  That session will be from 8:30am-11am.  Cost is $40.

The First State Bank American Legion juniors baseball team will host Grand Island tonight at Novak Field in a doubleheader.  First pitch is 5pm.

The Blair Senior Legion baseball team plays at Ralston this evening.  First pitch is 5:30pm.


In Dodge County Baseball League Action tonight, Dodge plays at Wahoo.  First pitch is 7:30 at Sam Crawford Field.

Omaha Storm Chasers


Omaha starting pitcher Jake Kalish fired a seven-inning complete game shutout in a 7-0 game one victory highlighted offensively by longballs from third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert and second baseman Nicky Lopez , while the Storm Chasers blasted two big flies in the nightcap of a 6-3 triumph in a twinbill sweep of the Nashville Sounds on Monday evening at Werner Park.

The two teams are set to complete their five-game homestand on Tuesday evening, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT. RHP Glenn Sparkman (4-0, 3.78) is anticipated to toe the rubber for the Storm Chasers, with the Sounds’ starter to be determined.

Lincoln Saltdogs

The Lincoln Saltdogs start a six-game road trip in Wichita, tonight.  First pitch is at 7:05 PM.
