AMERICAN LEAGUE DIVISION SERIES…

BOSTON 10 – Houston 3… The Red Sox erupted to score six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to put away the Astros in Game 3 and stay alive in the series. Jackie Bradley Jr.’s three-run homer capped the big inning. Rafael Devers connected for a go-ahead two-run shot in the third. Four relievers held Houston scoreless over the final 7-2/3 innings. The Red Sox will hope to even the series when they host Game 4 tonight. They send Rick Porcello to the mound, where he’ll be opposed by the Astros’ Charlie Morton in a matchup of righthanders. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. Eastern and the game airs on FS1.

 

N.Y. YANKEES 1 – Cleveland 0… The Yankees edged the Indians in Game 3 to avoid elimination. Greg Bird homered in the bottom of the seventh inning to account for the game’s only run. Masahiro Tanaka pitched three-hit ball over seven innings. Closer Aroldis Chapman recorded the final five outs. The Yankees will hope to bring the series even tonight when they host Game 4. Luis Severino takes the hill for New York, while Cleveland counters with Trevor Bauer. The game airs on FS1 starting at 7 p.m. Eastern.

 

NL DIVISION SERIES RESUMES TODAY… The Chicago Cubs host Washington with the teams even and the L.A. Dodgers will try to complete a sweep at Arizona today as the NL Division Series resumes after a travel day. Cubs’ lefthander Jose Quintana goes up against Nationals righthander Max Scherzer in a game scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Eastern. The Dodgers-Diamondbacks game gets underway at 10 p.m. Eastern, with scheduled starters Yu Darvish for L.A. and Zack Greinke for Arizona. Both games air on TBS.
