Colorado 4 – BOSTON 0… Semyon Varlamov made 29 saves in his 22nd career shutout. Nail Yakupov netted a pair of third-period goals for the Bruins.

St. Louis 3 – N.Y. ISLANDERS 2 (SO)… Vladimir Tarasenko scored twice in the second period and added the decisive goal in the shootout as the Blues outlasted the Islanders.

New Jersey 6 – BUFFALO 2… The Devils scored all six goals in the first two periods and coasted past the Sabres. Jesper Bratt and Marcus Johansson each scored two goals and had an assist.

TORONTO 4 – Chicago 3 (OT)… Auston Matthews found the net 3:43 into overtime to lift the Maple Leafs over the Blackhawks. Connor Brown had a goal and an assist.

TAMPA BAY 4 – Washington 3 (OT)… Brayden Point’s power-play goal at 3:08 of overtime sent the Lightning past the Capitals. Nikita Kucherov scored the tying goal midway through the third period and had an assist. Alex Killorn also had a goal and an assist.

Winnipeg 5 – EDMONTON 2… Nikolaj Ehlers scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the Jets past the Oilers. Goalie Connor Hellebuyck stopped 37 shots.

Calgary 2 – ANAHEIM 0… Goalie Mike Smith turned away all 43 shots in the Flames’ shutout of the Ducks. Calgary got goals from Mikael Backlund and Sean Monahan.
