FREMONT, Neb. – Braska Patterson took first in the women’s field while Kasey Reeves place third on the men’s side for Midland University at the Midland Spring Half Marathon on Saturday.
Patterson’s time of 1:28:36 moved her to the NAIA ‘A’ Standard and qualifies her for the National Championship held later in the spring. She currently ranks 28th in the events nationally.
With a time of 1:14:46, Reeves has reached the NAIA ‘B’ Standard. He ranks 41st in the NAIA and has earned a qualifying mark for the nationals meet as well.
Other Warriors running the 13.1 mile course were Cortland Cassidy, Danny Spies, Daniel Olson and Luis Lopez. Cassidy placed fifth, Spies was sixth, while Olson and Lopez finished in a tie for seventh in the men’s race.
Next up for the Warriors is the Oklahoma Baptist Early Outdoor Invitational. They’ll travel to Shawnee, Oklahoma to compete on Thursday, March 15th.
