A three-time academic All-Big Ten selection and two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Peterson was a second-team academic all-district honoree in 2017. She has also been a member of the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll every semester of her career. A native of Iowa City, Iowa, Peterson earned her degree in advertising and public relations earlier this month. On the field, Peterson was a key player for Nebraska over the past four seasons, appearing in 69 games with 65 starts. She was the only Husker to play every second during the 2017 season and finished her career with one goal and two assists while helping anchor the NU defense. Peterson was also an active member of the community during her time as a Husker, earning an appointment to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team every year in addition to being a two-time recipient of a Sam Foltz Hero 27 Leadership Award and a 2018 Nebraska Heart & Soul Award.
For Weber, the Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship was the second scholarship he has received from the conference office as he was also awarded the Wayne Duke Postgraduate Scholarship in February. Weber, who graduated with a degree in nutrition science earlier this month, was a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American last fall, when he was also a recipient of the prestigious National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award and was a finalist for the Campbell Trophy. An Omaha native, Weber was a three-time academic all-district selection, was a three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and became the 11th Husker football player to be a four-time academic all-conference honoree. On the field, Weber led Nebraska with 95 tackles in 2017, and he totaled 167 career tackles with 1.0 sack, nine tackles for loss and one interception. Weber was also honored for his work in the community as a national nominee for the AFCA Good Works Team. He was also a four-year member of both the Tom Osborne and Brook Berringer Citizenship Teams. Weber will continue his education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
